Round and smooth-skinned, blueberries are juicy and sweet. There are two main types. The high-bush variety can grow up to 15 feet tall; low-bush blueberry plants are only about 1 foot high and thrive in Canada and the northern United States. [www.QinSen.com]

Uses & Preparation:

Do not wash until ready to use.
Berries don't ripen after picking but they do deteriorate quickly. Plan to use them within 2 days of purchase.
Eat as a snack.
Top waffles, pancakes and cereal for breakfast.
Use in muffins, cakes and pies.
Toss in fruit salads.
Make jellies and jams.
Puree for fruit sauce to top desserts like ice cream.
No pitting, no peeling, no puttering, no waste!
Availability:
The season for this fruit is almost year-round. April through May is peak season.
